The Flints have dropped a new single in the form of ‘Same Thing Every Day’. The track is intentionally juxtaposing, with groovy guitar riffs and echoey vocals being diverted by unexpected tempo shifts and atypical song structures. “The song explores the monotonous cycle of life which we inevitably all fall into and the urge to break free of it,” they explain. “Writing/recording between our childhood home and London felt symbolic of the song for us; this narrative of escaping everything we’ve ever known and jumping into new lives in the city.” Still, they retain a punchiness and a sound filled with spacious, dense melodic hooks. The Manchester-born duo have a new EP, Keep The Party Going, ready to be released on April 28th, 2023. -Dan Peeke
